My name is Sarah. I live in Angmering with my husband and two little girls.
Why did I decided to become a women’s only Personal Trainer? Simple, I’m a woman myself, and I’ve been there. Been a slightly overweight child and teen. Tried faddy diets. Been through pregnancy twice – and really struggled losing the baby weight second time, despite my love of fitness! Over the decades I have had Issues with my weight, shape and general body confidence – I think any woman is lying if they say otherwise!
And then, a few years back, I reached the age of 30 (that same year I became pregnant with my first daughter). I certainly didn’t have time to obsess so much about myself, and read so many ‘celebrity mags’ which I now feel do nothing to endorse healthy body images. Suddenly, it occurred to me that those child bearing hips I have hated since my teens had their part to play in my two amazing birth experiences. It also dawned on me, hips are bones, and I’m never going to change my body shape.
From then on, I decided I was going to spend no more time aspiring to achieve a figure that was never going to be obtainable. From then on, I wanted to be fit and strong. Healthy looking, and healthy within, giving me the best chance to be a positive influence on my two little girls in, sometimes, a skinny crazy world. I love to exercise, but I know how important it is to have rest days too. I eat healthily most of the time, but I don’t diet. I’m not perfect, far from it, but I’ve learnt to accept that everyone has imperfections and life really is too short.
So that’s me, and that’s why! Now a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, I love training women on a one to one basis, as well as motivating mums at buggyfit in Worthing and Littlehampton and the women’s only circuit classes that I run each week. I like to think that I am a great motivator, and I have a great passion for what I do. When you work with me your goals and dreams also become mine, so you can expect me to be there for you every step of the way.
